I guess you'd like to know a little more about me...
Well my name is Sarah and I am 31, which I'm much more bothered about than I was about turning 30! I married my husband 3 years ago on the beautiful island of Cyprus. It was supposed to be a little wedding but we were very privileged to have 35 of our friends and family join us for the most relaxed wedding I've ever been to (I'm not sure there's many brides who can say that about their own wedding day, but I was sunbathing and in the pool until 2 hours before we said 'I do', with not an ounce of stress in sight). He is my happily ever after.
I am a stay at home mum to our beautiful 2 year old little boy, J. He has turned our world upside down and inside out but I wouldn't change him for the world (I would perhaps change the sleepless nights though). After nearly a year of being at home, I am finally settling into my new role and discovering how lucky I am to be able to devote all my time to our little whirlwind. I am finding my feet and no longer lusting after 'me time', I think we've finally found the balance. We spend our days playing, crafting and when the weather allows we spend lots of time outdoors. I'm also very lucky that J shares my love of Disney.
When I'm not up to my eyes in craft or trains, I love to read. I like to read all different types of books and I'm currently attempting the 50 books in 2014 challenge, I'm hoping to blog about that later! I also love cooking and am always on the look out for new recipes to try and new gadgets to buy. My biggest love is bags, I've actually calmed down on the purchasing of bags since being at home, but I'm a sucker for a new bag and sometimes I can't resist.
As a family we love to be outdoors. We love long walks along the beach or through the local woods with our energetic puppy Jackson. We enjoy days out to local attractions and in 2013 we became members of The National Trust and ChesterZoo, which we intend to renew this year.
We've got big things planned for 2014 as a family so I want to record all the 'little bits' here to make sure they are not forgotten and our memories can be treasured forever.
